I did a review for Island Nook Boutique Hotel at Tripadvisor. Might as well post it here. ^^
We were in Boracay from June 6-10 and we stayed in 4 hotels / lodges both in Boracay and Kalibo, but Island Nook was the best one. We arrived at around 11:00 P.M. in B0racay but our reservation at Island Nook was not until 2:00 P.M. the next day. We still went there to see if they still have rooms, but unfortunately, there weren’t any. The guy at the front desk still tried to help us though and we ended up getting a cheaper accommodation somewhere else.
The next day, we went there at around 12:30 P.M. and they allowed us to have an early check-in. I loved the room! It had a modern style and it was spacious. The air-con was working well so our room was really cold the entire time. Everything was new so there weren’t any problems at all. The staff was really helpful and they really went extra lengths to help us. We asked them regarding the water activities that we wanted to do while in the island and they set it up for us. All we had to do was show up at the designated time and we were able to get a small discount, too. Check-out was at 12:00 noon the next day but we showed up later than that because our island hopping activity took 4 hours. They didn’t charge us extra as long as we vacate the room ASAP. Ate Rachel, the receptionist, also called our next hotel if it’s already ok to check-in early. She didn’t have to do that but she did it as a favor for us, even if it took her a while to get an answer.
The best part for me though was that they were really trustworthy. I left my cellphone in our room and when we went back there, the receptionist had it. She gave it back to me and she knew that it was mine. I didn’t even have to ask for it.
The location is quite good. It might not be beachfront but it’s just a few steps away from d*mall and you can walk to the beach from there.
They have a restaurant in the hotel and the food was really delicious and affordable. We ate two meals there, lunch and the included breakfast and both meals were delicious. Their pancakes were to die for. They also have free WiFi, by the way and it’s fast. We couldn’t help but compare it to our next hotel which is more popular and expensive but less satisfying. Their pancakes are just normal and their WiFi is only for those staying at the executive wing. The room and service were totally worth our money. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Boracay.
