What’s your favorite part about visiting a new place — the food? The architecture? The people watching?
Obviously, I really like visiting and exploring new places, but I don’t think I look for anything specific when travelling. I guess, it depends on where you’re going, what the place is famous for. I don’t think you should expect your favorite thing to be present in all of the places you’re visiting because each one has its own thing that makes it special. For example, obviously, if you’re in the countryside, it might be difficult to find a place to appreciate the architecture.
I am very interested in food! I make sure to research what restaurants to try and their menus to see what I can try. Normally, I would include in my itinerary what food is famous in that area and which restaurant is recommended for it. I also like to compare new places to some I have previously visited. There are definitely towns or cities that could be “sisters”. I feel like, Luang Prabang and Hanoi gives the same feel. As well as Coron and Vang Vieng.
I don’t have anything else to say about this. LOL, sorry. I haven’t done this in a while and this was a fail. I hope to do better on the next one!
