Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
I’m going to deviate a little bit from the question and just talk about my favorite pairs of shoes! I have never talked about shoes on this blog before. I remember doing something like this when I was on Multiply and that was probably 15 years ago or something. Also, I miss wearing my favorite shoes to work! From these photos, you will most likely notice that yes, I take so many photos at work. LOL. I just really like dressing up to go to work. That’s why I was happy when I started working for my current company and I was told that there is a dress code. I know that a lot of people are not a fan of that and my previous company didn’t have one – employees literally go to work in short shorts and slides. Nothing wrong with that, but I just prefer having a dress code. So that is one of the reasons I miss going to the office.
I’m sorry to disappoint if you clicked on this to read about where my favorite shoes have taken me, but no, you will just be seeing photos of me. Tons of them. LOL. So yeah, on to my favorite shoes!
Let’s start with the most common – black shoes. These are probably my favorite shoes, because of the design and comfort. I love that bow on top and it’s a mule. I love mules because sometimes, you want to wear flay, comfy shoes but don’t really feel like showing your toes. LOL. This goes with everything and I feel like makes casual clothes appear dressier. These shoes are from a brand called Follie.
Classic black slingbacks. I have had these shoes for a long time, but never actually got to use them until I started working at my current company. These shoes are from Rubi.
I don’t normally wear open-toe sandals or shoes, because I don’t like my feet. HAHA. But I bought these to wear for our yearend party last December. I don’t wear heels so I opted for this instead. They wouldn’t show anyway underneath my long dress. I bought this from that shoe stall that sells Marikina-made shoes in Market Market. I always buy from there and Marikina shoes are great, okay!
Love these red slingbacks! I think they’re so sexy and adds a pop of color to your outfit. I sometimes would use it with like a black ensemble, but I know, these photos I posted are already on the yellow, orange, red color wheel so they do match the shoes. I bought these shoes on Shopee, from this store called Randa Shoes. Shop these here.
I just wanted another slingback in another neutral color (I mean, not black and I already have another flat that’s brown), so I chose gray this time. I use these when I feel like I have a lot of color in my clothes and I didn’t really feel like using my black ones. These are also from Randa Shoes. Shop these here.
These are just normal pointed flats, but I love these because they’re avocado green. It also has a colorful band in front and a hint of purple at the back. These are probably the most colorful shoes I have! I’ve had these for a while but never really got to use them until I started working at my current company as well. I thrifted this in Baguio so they’ve been with me for a while and I just couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. I’m happy that I get to use them now. It’s also another way to put a pop of color when you’re wearing an all-black outfit (or if you want to match your skirt with your shoes like I do LOL).
Denim flats. These are two different shoes but the same material. The ones on the left are peep toe shoes from Rubi, and the ones on the right are just flats I thrifted in Baguio.
Then, these red flats with Aztec pattern. I had an issue with these, that’s why I did not really use them for a long time. The back part is not super sturdy so they slide off my heel when I use them. That’s why I super glued some support for the back side, as well as some shoe laces so I can tie it around my ankle. They work well so far and have not fallen apart. I personally love how they came out. These shoes are from Artwork.
I love white shoes that are waterproof! I love Oxford shoes and I had one before that I used a lot, I had to get rid of them. This is my replacement for it, although the design is not really an Oxford shoe (but close). I’ve used this so much since I bought them in 2018 that the soles are starting to give up but I still use them anyway. Shop these here.
Another waterproof white shoes – sneakers this time. This is also a pair that I use a lot because white shoes just goes with everything, you know. I bought this from a stall at Market Market as well. I’ve had these for 2 years as well – I remember buying these before our trip to Brunei in Aug 2018, and I also used it during our autumn trip to Fukuoka that same year in 2018. These shoes have gone to quite a few places.
These are just some of my favorites. I know I have more that I always use but a bit lazy to look for pics. These are just the ones I still have on my phone. I am kind of a hoarder and pains me to get rid of my shoes. I just always think that maybe they will get some use from me in the future.
