Recommended Restaurants in BGC! (Part 2)

I had to split this into 2 parts because I feel like the first part got too long. I just felt like doing 10 for part 1 and then another 10 for part. After many months, here’s part 2 of my recommended restaurants in BGC list – finally! All of these photos were from pre-COVID.

1) Kabisera

Address: 716 Bonifacio High Street, Ave, 7th, Taguig, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxskabisera/

Kabisera is owned by Max’s, so I don’t know how to describe it except as a more upscale version of Max’s. You still get to enjoy the Filipino staples with a twist. If I am not mistaken, this is the only branch so far. Correct me if I am wrong.

We ended up eating here for an early lunch because everything else in the High Street area close to our office was still closed – it was before 11am. Kabisera opens at 7am, so if you are looking for a place in High Street that opens before 11am, this is one of the few places where you can go.

2) Rue Bourbon

Address: Unit 153, Forbes Town Center, 29th St, Taguig, 1634
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ruebourbon_mnl/

When I think of Rue Bourbon, I always think of flavored big ass mugs of beer. I literally just come here for that. They are famous for their caramel beer, but they also have other flavors like watermelon, lychee, hazelnut, etc. It is definitely one of my most recommended areas if a friend wants to get a drink around BGC.

3) La Mere Poulard

Address: 172-173, SM Aura Premier, McKinley Pkwy, Taguig, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lamerepoulardph/

Okay, this is such a bougee restaurant. It is definitely expensive, the food had huge servings and they were really good. I ordered Chicken and Cashew Nut Linguini with Cheese and White Wine Sauce (long ass name!) and we had Puff Omelette with Caramelized Apples for dessert. We just had to try one of their famous omelettes! My friend ordered green tea and it came in a really cute transparent kettle! My friend Pao went crazy over the hot chef – I don’t know if he still works there, we went here a long time ago.

4) Ramen Daikoku

Address: Market Market, Lower ground c5 wing, C-5, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ramendaikokuofficial/

Okay, I am not a huge ramen fan. I mean, I don’t really enjoy eating ramen in restaurants because they come in such huge bowls that I can’t finish and oh so expensive! I really liked Ramen Daikoku though, because it’s so much cheaper, but it tastes the same as those really expensive ones. I read that it’s the sister company of Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen, so you know that you are getting quality ramen for half the price. Also, I prefer this since I know I will be able to finish my bowl of ramen.

5) Samgyupsalamat

Address: The Forum, 2nd floor, 7th Ave, Taguig, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/samgyupsalamatph/?hl=en

I mean, we all know the deal here. There are lots of Samgyupsalamat branches everywhere but the specific one we go to is the one in Forum.

6) Mr. Korea

Address: G/F C5 Wing, Market! Market!, Taguig, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mrkoreamnl/?hl=en

It’s the same as all the other unlimited Korean samgyupsal places, but what I love about this place is their enoki rolls. I kept ordering that because it was so yummy. I’m shocked though that they do not allow solo eaters. It is literally in their rules and this one girl arrived by herself and she was not allowed in. That was seriously screwed up. I hope they’ve changed that rule. I know that other samgyupsal places have no issue with that.

7) Kko Kko

Address: 131 McKinley Pkwy, Taguig, Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kkokkoph/?hl=en

I went here for the first time here alone because I was craving jajangmyun back then. I think I read that they had so I went but they didn’t have it on the menu. I ended up eating something else. But last year, they started doing the unli cheese fondue set and we just had to try it. It costs PHP388 per head and dude, it’s just too much food. Make sure you’re really hungry when you come here to get your money’s worth.

8) Genki Sushi

Address: Bonifacio Stop Over, Rizal Drive Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/genkisushiph/?hl=en

Genki Sushi has a branch in SM Aura but this was before that opened so we went to the one in Bonifacio Stopover. This is the famous Japanese sushi train and of course, we wanted to try it at least once.

9) Whistlestop

Address: The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City

I just love this place. I can’t count how many times I’ve been here, either for just food or late night drinking. Totally recommendable.

10) Tokyo Bubble Tea

Address: The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
