What To Do in Boracay: SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding)

I was going to do a different blog – I wanted to write about activities that you can do in Boracay, but we actually ended up not doing a lot of these activities during our stay. Since it was not my first time here, I was not really there to enjoy these water activities. But fortunately, we got the chance to try Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP). We did want to try the pedal bike though, and Irick & Gelai were going to do parasailing, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to do it anymore.

I would like to share this video of us doing Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) during our first few days in Boracay and talk about it a bit.

Stand Up Paddleboarding has always been an unfinished business of mine. I wanted to do it in Siquijor, then in Siargao, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do it. Fast forward to 2 years later, I finally got to do it in Boracay! We did it at noon and the waves were very strong, which made it hard for us. But it was really fun! We got a short introductory course and then we were on our own. I think, though, it would have been easier if it was in a calmer body of water. I think that’s why this activity is more preferred to be done in a river or lake.

I truly enjoyed SUP-ping and wanted to do it more while in there, but again, ended up not doing it. LOL. However, I would really want do this again on my next trip!
